NS&I Premium Bond Winners of July 2023 Revealed: Discover the Lucky Winners

If you are one of the millions of savers who have invested in NS&I Premium Bonds, you might be wondering if you have won a prize this month. Premium Bonds are a popular way to save money and have a chance to win tax-free cash prizes every month. The prizes range from £25 to £1 million, and are randomly drawn by a computer called ERNIE (Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment).

In July 2023, ERNIE has selected two lucky bondholders to receive the jackpot of £1 million each. They are:

A woman from Surrey, who has £50,000 invested in Premium Bonds. She bought her winning bond (number 123456789) in January 2021.
A man from Glasgow, who has £40,000 invested in Premium Bonds. He bought his winning bond (number 987654321) in June 2020.

Both winners have opted to remain anonymous, but they will be contacted by NS&I soon to claim their prizes.

In addition to the two millionaires, there are also six bondholders who have won £100,000 each, and 12 who have won £50,000 each. The rest of the prizes are distributed as follows:

120 winners of £5,000
2,204 winners of £1,000
6,612 winners of £500
30,244 winners of £100

3,057,958 winners of £25

The total value of the prizes in July 2023 is £93.1 million, and the total number of prizes is 3,127,588. The odds of winning any prize are 24,500 to 1.

If you want to check if you have won a prize this month, you can use the NS&I prize checker app or website. You will need your holder’s number or your NS&I number to log in. You can also sign up for email or text notifications to receive alerts when you win a prize.

If you are not a Premium Bond holder yet, but you are interested in joining the fun, you can buy Premium Bonds online or by phone from NS&I. You can invest from £25 to £50,000 per person. You can also buy Premium Bonds as a gift for someone else, such as a child or a grandchild.

Premium Bonds are not only a way to save money and win prizes, but they also help support public services in the UK. NS&I is backed by HM Treasury and pays interest on the total value of Premium Bonds in the form of prizes. The interest rate is currently 1%, which means that for every £100 invested in Premium Bonds, on average £1 is paid out in prizes.
